Improvements to trial balance import

Trial balance import from CSV (or Excel!) has been improved:

  • You can now import from Excel (.xlsx) files in addition to CSV. When importing an Excel file, the system will use the “top” sheet in the Excel workbook.

  • Columns will automatically be mapped if they have a standard name (for example, category name accepts “Category Name”, “Account Type”, “Type”, and “Category”).

  • Accounts are currently automatically mapped to categories if the imported file has an account type column with the appropriate values. Improvements were made to accept more values for automatically mapping (for example, bank accounts now allows for “Bank”, “Banks”, “Bank Account”, or “Bank Accounts”).

Document roll forward

Documents can now be set to “Roll Forward” by clicking the edit button on the document page.

Other changes

  • Fixed an issue where manual reconciliations could not be made on accounts with a negative book balance

  • Improved infrastructure for performing backups on user data
