Roll to tax

Roll to tax is similar to Roll forward, but for sending documents to the tax project in the same period instead of the project of the same type in the next period. Please note that this feature is not available on tax projects.

Set one document as roll to tax

To set one document as roll to tax, right-click it and click "Edit document settings". Then under Roll Forward Options enable the Roll to Tax checkbox.

Set many documents as roll to tax

To set many documents as roll to tax click one document, and then holding down the Shift or Command/Control key select which other documents to modify. Then on the bottom of the screen click the rolling icon and select Roll to Tax.

Roll the project to tax

When you are ready to roll a project to tax:

1. Go to the project you are rolling into tax

2. Click the dropdown at the top of the project:

3. Click the "Roll to Tax" button and update any details as needed before creating the project
