How to access dev for testing
To access our dev site for testing, users will login to https://dev.denariapp.com. Users can then make and tie out projects the same way they would in our normal web app.
All of these features are in dev and ready to be released once we hear that the documents folder drag and drop is an improvement to the current system.
Features
Drag and drop Files to Folders
Users can now drag and drop files into folders to help with document management! Currently we do have an issue where you need to refresh the page after you add a new directory, but we have a hotfix coming out for that shortly
Show Cutoff Calculator Label
We heard a complaint that some of our users would have long labels that would get cutoff on our calculator annotations, so we've now added support on the sidebar Nav where if you hover over a label that is cutoff with a ... it will show the entire text.
Trial Balances now have an export to PDF option
We know sometimes you want to send a Trial Balance to a client from Denari, and our CSV export wasn't very readable. We've now added a Download PDF option in the settings page of Trial Balance projects to solve this problem!
We now support clients who have a different Fiscal Year from the Calendar Year in QBO
We used to only support Calendar year balances from QBO syncs. Now when you sync through QBO we add balances to the Income Statement based on their fiscal year setting in QBO instead of the Calendar year.
Improvements
Category changes that would effect Journal Entries now require confirmation
When a user edits a category of an account in the Chart of Accounts page, we now have a confirmation that will delete any existing Journal Entries, if that category change would create an unbalanced Journal Entry.
Improved the Filters of the project list page
We got a complaint that sometimes the filters on the project list page was broken. We've done a big overhaul so that the project list page filters are applied faster and the experience is much smoother. My favorite improvement from this page is being able to add a Created At date range, instead of selecting a specific day.
Bugs
CSV exports now include the Prelim and Ending Balance
We had a report that our CSV exports only included the Prelim Balance, and so now we've added the Ending Balance as well!
We know there's things we can improve on here and are excited to make those adjustments, some of them will just take more time. This dev release is happening because our team wants to get incremental improvements to you as soon as they are available.
