Installation (requires an Administrator)

How a Windows Systems Administrator can install and update the Denari Desktop Windows application

Install the latest (1.2.0) version over an existing version

  1. Launch the Desktop app from the Start menu and verify that its version number is 1.2.0 by hovering over its system tray icon.

  2. The previously installed Client Id, Secret, and data folder should have been automatically detected, but if you are prompted for them again refer to the next section (Setup) on how to re-enter them.

  3. Individual users wishing to sign in and make use of the Desktop upload capabilities should follow the instructions in the later section (Authentication) on how to authenticate themselves.

Clean install of the latest (1.2.0) version

  1. Uninstall any older versions of the Denari Desktop using Windows Add / Remove Programs.

  2. For a totally clean reset and install, consult your primary Denari administrator on how to remove the license file and local database and upload files.

  3. Launch the Desktop app from the Start menu and verify that its version number is 1.2.0 by hovering over its system tray icon.

  4. Follow the instructions in the next main section (Setup) to enter the Client ID and Secret and select a data folder.

  5. Once those have been set up, restart the two Denari Windows services using Windows Services to make sure that they pick up the newly entered Client Id and Secret.
